Dutch-based orthography is identical to Standard spelling
[edit]The Lord's prayer is given in two versions of orthography which are identical to each other. Either there's a mistake, or I'd suggest that only one version should be left. The right column can be used for English translation for better understanding and comparison. Jimitori (talk) 12:05, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
Updates
[edit]@Reasonablematics, as promised on your talk page, I've gone through your suggested edits line by line to reincorporate any useful content into the article.
I've added in what was sourced and on topic. I didn't add some stuff that was veering into tangents (see WP:COATRACK and WP:NOTEVERYTHING), or where the sourcing was unclear/not included. We should avoid WP:OR, too. I think this version combines the best of both edits, includes references, and is more up-to-date. Hopefully, it isn't too objectionable to anyone.
Please ping me if you have any further thoughts/suggestions. Lewisguile (talk) 23:06, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
Out-Moded Names
[edit]I think that Taki-Taki and Negerengels should be acknowledged as outmoded names for the language, especially as the former is redirected to this article still. They are historically relevant to the language and not mentioning them is a disservice. H.J. Fleischmann (talk) 05:10, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- I have no problem with that. What do the RSes say? Perhaps you can draft the relevant text here? Lewisguile (talk) 11:58, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
